Faster and more accurate measurements

With OMNIS titrators, you can perform up to four fully automated titrations at the same time. Compared to performing the same application on a stand-alone system, automation will save you up to 60% of time.

Using an OMNIS Sample Robot, you can profit from automated changing of up to 175 samples. Once a rack has been analyzed, it can be replaced without stopping the analysis. With the automation options for OMNIS titrators, you can increase your output without compromising on accuracy.

OMNIS platform: More than just titrations

Does your lab also perform NIR spectroscopy analyses or need automation? We have got you covered!

OMNIS is a universal platform that lets you combine potentiometric titrators, KF titrators, NIR analyzers, and automation options of the OMNIS brand as you require. All measurements are controlled by the same software, all data is saved on the same system.

When potentiometric titration reaches its limits: Thermometric titration

Some applications cannot be performed using potentiometric sensors. In these cases, sensors observing changes in temperature (i.e., thermometric sensors) are needed.

Thermometric titration is a fast and robust analysis technique for high-throughput routine analysis. You only need one sensor for all thermometric applications. No sensor callibration and, with OMNIS, no additional hardware is required. You can simply upgrade any OMNIS titrator to combine potentiometric and thermometric titration in one system.

Even higher performance and usability: OMNIS meets Cubis

Cubis® II from Sartorius has become a fully integrated member of the OMNIS platform. The integration of the high-end Sartorius lab balance allows you to meet superior standards in terms of performance and usability.

More safety and traceability in your lab

Our newly developed patented Liquid Adapter with 3S technology makes chemical handling in your laboratory easier and safer:

  • Safe chemical handling: Simply snap the adapter onto the bottle cap and avoid contact with the bottle contents.
  • Secure information transfer: The RFID chip in the bottle cap provides all relevant information on the content of the bottle.
  • Smart connection: The reagent data is automatically transmitted to the titration system.

Intuitive and user-friendly concept

Minimize titration errors. LEDs on the instruments show the status of the instrument, indicating if the system is ready or if there is an error. This intuitive concept was also applied to OMNIS Software featuring drag-and-drop functionalities as well as pre-installed methods and context-sensitive help.

Automatic potentiometric titrators – FAQs

A potentiometric titrator uses the difference in potential (mV) between the solution containing the analyte and a reference potential to determine the equivalence point and endpoint of a titration.

The titrator is equipped with a reference electrode and an indicator electrode or with a combined sensor including both the reference and indicator electrode in one electrode. A stirrer and buret are also needed for potentiometric titrations.

Metrohm offers a variety of electrodes depending on your application. Learn more about electrodes in the following blog articles or documents or find a suitable electrode with our Electrode Finder:
