Platform and System Options
Base SECM System
The core platform for localized electrochemistry. The Sensolytics Base SECM System combines high-resolution XYZ positioning and can be combined with any Metrohm Autolab controllable with Nova 2. The powerful and modern Sensolytics SECM software synchronizes all hardware components for electrochemical mapping and localized electrochemical experiments.
- Complete positioning system: Stepper-motor controlled XYZ stage with 25 × 25 × 25 mm travel range and 20 nm calculated resolution, upgradable up to 145 mm.
- Integrated software: Synchronized control of positioning, electrochemical measurements, and data visualization in one software platform.
- Electrochemical techniques: Supports a wide range of electrochemical methods, including cyclic voltammetry, chronoamperometry, pulse profiles, potentiodynamic polarization, and OCP mapping.
- Optional bipotentiostatic control: Upgrade module for the simultaneous control of SECM probe and substrate potential.
- Modular upgrade paths: Modular upgrade paths including high-resolution piezo, shearforce constant-distance mode, video camera integration, photoelectrochemistry, and environmental control are available.

- Option High-Res: Piezoelectric positioning system with 100 µm travel per axis and resolution down to 1 nm.
- Option Shearforce: Constant-distance mode imaging, valuable when working with nanoelectrodes. Supports the deconvolution of topography and electrochemical activity.
- Option Video: Live camera integration for visual tip positioning within the Sensolytics control software.
- Scanning Droplet Cell (SDC): Localized droplet-based electrochemistry for surface screening, coatings, corrosion, and battery materials research.
