See chemistry clearly with i-Raman NxG – from discovery to routine decisions.
The i-Raman NxG is designed for today’s research and development labs to help them move beyond wet-chemistry and “pass/fail” observations to direct chemical insight. It reveals functional groups, identifies materials, and monitors real-time chemical changes for R&D and process understanding, then scales those same methods into routine workflows.
Direct chemical understanding through clear visualization of functional groups and reaction‑specific Raman signatures
Real‑time tracking of chemical changes connect lab discoveries to process impacts
Flexible, fiber-optic sampling for almost any container or reactor
Grow from R&D → Routine with SpecSuite: explore, model, and operationalize methods in one platform
Optimize excitation for your chemistry: choose 532, 785, or 1064 nm NxG configurations to reduce fluorescence and maximize chemical information
Extended range insight with i-Raman Duo for fluorescence-free analysis from 100 to 4600 cm-1
Accelerate R&D understanding
Gain detailed, information‑rich spectra that reveal molecular structure, functional groups, and subtle chemical changes—critical for formulation work, reaction development, and mechanism exploration.
Strengthen process development decisions
Observe chemical impacts directly and understand how variations in feedstocks, intermediates, or conditions shift spectral signatures. Ideal for connecting lab discoveries to scalable processes.
Scale sampling without re‑engineering
The NxG probe interfaces with a full accessory ecosystem to measure powders, liquids, gels, tablets, slurries, and more—on the bench, in vials/cuvettes, in situ, or standoff.
Transition smoothly to routine analysis
Use SpecSuite for exploratory work, quantitative modeling, library ID, and regulated operation—so methods created in R&D transfer cleanly into routine, 21 CFR Part 11‑supported environments.
A portfolio that grows with you
Metrohm i-Raman NxG, Duo, and Plus spectrometers are available in DIY/OEM modules for custom integration projects, inside our PTRam for process development, and our 2060 Raman for inline process analytics. They can even integrate with our potentiostats for spectroelectrochemistry.
Two lasers. One powerful spectrometer.
i-Raman Duo provides FT-Raman range without FT-Raman complexity. 1064 nm excitation captures the fingerprint region with reduced fluorescence; 860 nm extends into 2500–4600 cm⁻¹ to measure CH, NH, OH and even HH stretching. SpecSuite stiches these together for seamless analysis.
This high‑wavenumber region enables moisture and functional‑group tracking that improves discrimination and supports more robust models.

Comprehensive sampling options
i-Raman NxG is compatible with a variety of sampling accessories, allowing you to easily analyze different sample types like vials, cuvettes, plastic bags, and opaque containers.
Additionally, the compact design and high sensitivity of the i-Raman series make it perfect for developing trace-level detection methods with surface-enhanced Raman spectroscopy (SERS). When used with Metrohm’s SERS materials, users can achieve signal enhancements of up to 106 times, helping them confidently identify analytes even at very low concentrations.
