Measuring liquid samples with the OMNIS NIR Analyzer Liquid

0:00 / 0:00

This video shows how liquid samples are measured using the OMNIS NIR Analyzer Liquid. It demonstrates the simple measurement workflow and highlights how temperature control and software support contribute to reproducible results.

In the video, you will see:

  • How to prepare and introduce liquid samples
  • How measurement results are obtained within a few seconds
  • How samples are heated or cooled for consistent measurement conditions
  • Which liquid types can be measured, including clear liquids and suspensions
  • How the OMNIS Software supports semi-automated, routine liquid analysis

Measuring solid samples, pastes, and gels with the OMNIS NIR Analyzer Solid

0:00 / 0:00

This video demonstrates how solids, pastes, and gels are measured using the OMNIS NIR Analyzer Solid. It shows how different sample types are prepared and measured, and how the system compensates for sample inhomogeneity to deliver reliable results.

In the video, you will see:

  • How homogeneous solids such as fine powders are measured in disposable vials
  • How inhomogeneous materials (pellets, granules, flakes) are measured using rotating sample cups
  • How gels and pastes are measured using transflection vessels
  • How simple and fast routine analysis is with OMNIS NIR Analyzer Solid

Creating prediction models in OMNIS

0:00 / 0:00

This video explains how to create and validate NIR prediction models using OMNIS Software.

In the video, you will see:

  • How NIR spectra are correlated with reference methods
  • How to select data, preprocessing, and wavelength ranges
  • How to validate and publish models for routine analysis
  • The OMNIS Model Developer for guided, automated model creation

Transferring data from legacy NIR analyzers to OMNIS

0:00 / 0:00

This video shows how to transfer data from legacy NIR analyzers, such as the XDS NIR Analyzer and DS2500 series, to the OMNIS NIR Analyzer. It demonstrates the simple and efficient workflow for exporting data and creating new prediction models in OMNIS Software.

In the video, you will see:

  • How to export project data as an NSAS file from Vision software
  • How to import legacy data into OMNIS Software
  • How to create new prediction models using imported data

From Reaction to Release: Raman and NIR Analysis for Fertilizer Production
Fertilizer production depends on timely chemical measurements, but reference techniques such as titration and ICP-OES can require sample transport, preparation, reagents, specialized analysts, and significant time before results are available. Raman and near-infrared spectroscopy can provide faster, simpler analysis closer to production while reducing reagent use and cost per measurement. Using examples from phosphate, urea, ammonium nitrate fertilizer production this webinar will explore the development of quantitative spectroscopic methods, from collecting representative production samples and reliable reference data through calibration and independent validation. The session will also examine method transfer and deployment across instruments and production sites. Adam J. Hopkins, Ph.D., Product Manager for Spectroscopy at Metrohm USA, will introduce Raman and NIR fundamentals and the Metrohm products, sampling options, and software used for production measurements. Hannah Schorr, Ph.D., Applications Specialist for Spectroscopy at Metrohm USA, will then present the analytical science behind the fertilizer applications, including how quantitative methods are developed, validated, transferred, and maintained for reliable routine analysis.
