The professional IC system with conductivity detection enables the fully automatic determination of cations and anions (non-suppressed) that are present in high concentrations and are also loaded with a very critical matrix. Emulsions, samples containing fats and proteins or heavily contaminated waste waters are not always compatible with ion chromatography, even after upstream filtration. That is why the "ProfIC 7" is equipped with the Metrohm-patented Inline Dialysis (European Patent 0 820 804, US Patent 5,861,097).
