This Application Note describes the automated determination of the water content in toothpaste using volumetric Karl Fischer titration (MATi 10).
Toothpaste is mainly composed of abrasives, binders, detergents, flavorings, and water, among other ingredients. The water content in toothpaste must be determined for quality control purposes. Automated determination of the water content in toothpaste is possible using volumetric Karl Fischer titration. This Application Note describes this analysis using the MATi 10.
