Within the scope of the USP monograph modernization, chloride is determined in Potassium bicarbonate and potassium chloride effervescent tablets for oral suspension applying cation chromatography with conductivity detection after sequential suppression. The separation is performed on a Metrosep A Supp 16 - 100/4.0 column (L91). All acceptance criteria are fulfilled.
