Oxidation stability of suntan oil
Summary
Tanning oils stimulate the body to produce melanin, darkening the skin. They also offer less protection than sunscreens. As suntan oil is prone to oxidation over time, its shelf life can be determined by measuring the oxidation stability. Using the Rancimat method, the oxidation stability of suntan oil can be determined reproducibly and reliably.
