Sweet almond oil is an edible oil that is also often used for skin and haircare purposes. It is not recommended to use sweet almond oil for cooking at high temperatures, but rather as an addition to finish meals. Unlike bitter almond oil which is volatile, sweet almond oil is a carrier oil that does not evaporate. Oxidation of sweet almond oil can occur over time, affecting its organoleptic characteristics.
