Metrohm UK & Ireland are seeking a candidate for the role of Account Manager for Southern Ireland. Metrohm are direct manufacturers of analytical equipment with a reputation for build quality and excellent technical support and service. The successful candidate will join a team of experienced and successful Account Managers. Metrohm Sales are a critical part of the customer experience, there to ensure technical requirements are investigated and the whole sales process is professionally and competently managed to completion. The candidate must be able to appropriately identify the needs of both new and current customers in order to aid customers in their success using Metrohm equipment. This will be done by developing an appropriate level of communication with clients and internal team members to better understand and mitigate any issues the customers may face.

Job Description – The role of the Account Manager is to generate and deliver sales of the Metrohm Titration, Ion Chromatography, Near Infra-Red and Raman Spectroscopy products in the Southern Region of Ireland.

Metrohm UK & Ireland are looking for a candidate with the drive and strategies to develop, manage and grow the business for this area.

Applicant Profile

The successful candidate would ideally be one of the following:

- An experienced Account Manager in Analytical Chemistry instrumentation

- An experienced technical sales specialist/account manager in Scientific Instrumentation or scientific consumables.

- Commercially aware chemist with experience using Ion Chromatography, Titration, NIR or Raman Spectroscopy instrumentation looking to transition to a field-based role

 

Area

- South of Ireland

- The candidate will ideally be located in the Cork or Limerick.

 

Sales responsibilities

- Reporting to Sales Director

- Developing sales strategies in the southern region of Ireland.

- Working with Business Managers and Product Managers to arrange demonstrations of equipment.

- Prospecting, lead generation and opportunity management

- Sales visits

- Maintaining and updating CRM

- Attending exhibitions, seminars etc

- Providing relevant marketing information for newsletters and for marketing dept.

 

Essential/Desirable Skills

- Degree in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering or other relevant sciences

- Sales experience

- Good understanding of analytical chemistry methodologies

- Good interpersonal skills and ability to communicate to people of all levels.

- Full driving licence

- Previous use of Metrohm laboratory equipment or similar
