Environmental Detection at Its Best with Ion Chromatography and Mass Spectrometry
5/13/2020 1:00 PM - 5/13/2020 2:00 PM (World Wide Web, Global)

Ion Chromatography (IC) is a well-established analytical technique for the analysis of environmental samples. The combination of IC with mass spectrometry increases the sensitivity of the measurement and provides speciation for complex samples. Using IC as a sample preparation tool enables more sophisticated identification and quantification of trace level pollutants, which is essential for protecting the environment. ICP-MS and mass spectrometry drive detection and sample ionization techniques like combustion IC, increasing the number of samples that are compatible with IC detection. In this presentation, Dr. Gandhi (Metrohm USA) will discuss the evolution of IC technology and Metrohm’s collaboration with Agilent Technologies. He will also highlight several industry applications and regulatory methods. Ms. Sue D’Antonio of Agilent Technologies will then discuss ease of use, features and benefits of Open Lab CDS software.
