This article describes the determination of sub-ppb concentrations of low-molecular amines in cationic medicines using ion chromatography. The example of amine determination in the cationic beta-blocker Nebivolol is used to show how the disruptive cationic matrix can be removed prior to analysis using two preconcentration columns connected in series.
