Glyphosate and AMPA in drinking water

In March 2015, the International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC) published a report that stated that the weed killer glyphosate was "probably carcinogenic to humans". Its use has been the subject of heated discussions ever since. In some countries, including the US and the EU member states, limit values governing glyphosate concentrations in drinking water are already in effect. The use of ion chromatography with pulsed amperometric detection for the determination of glyphosate and its decomposition product AMPA is presented here.
