Our Response to the COVID-19 Crisis

Metrohm Romania is committed to maintaining a safe and healthy environment for our customers and our employees. We realize that this is a fluid situation that changes daily, so we've created this website to keep you updated on our response to support our customers, reinforce our capacity and take care of our employees.

Supporting Our Customers

Metrohm Romania will remain open

While we are practicing social distancing and have taken steps to limit interaction with and exposure to each other, we are operating normally. Here's what this means:

  • Our sales team will continue to support new system configurations and consult you on the best solution for your lab
  • Our customer support team will receive orders and general customer inquiries
  • Our warehouse will ship product and receive shipments of new inventory from our headquarters
  • Our service team is ready to support your new system installation, repair and maintenance needs
  • Our technical support and applications teams are staffed to address any troubleshooting or method development concern

You can order instruments and consumables the same way you always do

If you need an instrument, our local sales team is working and happy to assist. For customers in Romania and Rep. Moldova, our webshop remains a convenient way to purchase electrodes, columns, reagents and other consumables for your laboratory.

Training is temporarily suspended

Our training courses are heavily geared towards hands-on learning and close interaction between trainees and instructors. Following the recommendations from the CDC, we have temporarily suspended all classroom and custom training courses until further notice. 

Ensuring Our Capacity to Serve

We will keep manufacturing and shipping product as usual

Metrohm is strongly vertically integrated, both domestically and internationally, and we see no short-term impact to production and supply.

Taking Care of Our Employees

We have continuously updated our employees and made important policy changes to keep them safe

Specifically, we have:

  • reinforced guidance regarding hygiene and encouraged employees to leverage technology to hold business meetings remotely whenever possible.
  • moved some employees to remote working arrangements to slow the spread of the virus and reduce the risk to our employees while maintaining our attention and responsiveness to your needs.
  • reviewed and updated our sick time policies, lessening the impact on employees that are diagnosed with COVID‐19.
