We are the North American division of world-renown Metrohm AG (Herisau, Switzerland), an industry leader in laboratory instruments and accessories for analytical testing/research. We are looking for a Support Development Specialist to join our team at the corporate headquarters in Riverview, FL.

The Support Development Specialist (SDS) serves as the technical expert for Metrohm service and support. The SDS will continuously evaluate the position of Metrohm service and support offerings in the market and designs and executes strategies to support revenue growth.

Essential Functions:

  • Promote and grow the revenue for service support plans for all Metrohm USA products and technologies
  • Oversee the production of internal and external materials for existing products and the launch of new products
  • Create and maintain support offerings in support of revenue growth targets. This includes generating support collateral including:

– Brochures

– Service delivery documentation

– Customer-facing presentations

– Quality documentation  

– Customer-facing sales tools

  • Recommend ideas for new or improved products to Senior Management
  • Identify new markets and applications for service support
  • Coordinate technical assistance to sales force and customers
  • Conduct external customer analysis, including but not limited to:

– Competitive analysis

– Customer segmentation

– Idea intake

  • Ensure effective and timely training of all employees regarding project lines using all resources available

Education/Experience/Additional Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree (B.S.) in chemistry, chemical engineering or related discipline, 3-5 years related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Leverages background in chemistry and chemical analysis, has a basic understanding of all Metrohm products including titration, ion chromatography, spectroscopy and electrochemistry
  • Solid demonstrated project management experience
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills; persuasive communicator
  • Ability to establish and build rapport with others, both internal and external to the organization
  • Advanced experience with CRM & ERP software; advanced Microsoft Excel skills
  • Excellent problem solving and trouble shooting skills
  • Ability to comprehend and apply principles of modern algebra and statistics
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities and meet deadlines
