We are the North American division of world-renown Metrohm AG (Herisau, Switzerland), an industry leader in laboratory instruments and accessories for analytical testing/research.

We have an opening for a Senior Accountant in our Riverview, FL location. This is an office-based position scheduled for core business hours Monday – Friday. A hybrid work schedule may be available after 6-12 months in the role.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Serve as main point of contact to understand and analyze unique payment processing requirements for certain customers
  • Ensure compliance with parent company accounting manual
  • Investigate, document, and analyze workflow to generate process improvements
  • Perform cost analysis and calculate accruals as needed
  • Provide support to local finance team relative to company accounting processes and procedures
  • Prepare general ledger account reconciliations in accordance with company standards and post journal entries to the general ledger
  • Perform monthly, quarterly, annual, and ad hoc financial reporting and analysis of the balance sheet and income statement
  • Process and post customer lockbox, ACH and credit card payments
  • Prepare schedules and assist with financial and tax audits
  • Review and post service journals
  • Review, research and communicate information requested via Zendesk in a timely manner
  • Assist Controller with preparation of monthly and annual financial reporting to parent company
  • Participate in the yearly Forecast and Budget process as required

Ideal Experience & Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting required
  • CPA preferred
  • 3+ years applicable experience and demonstrated success/knowledge
  • Excellent communication and management skills
  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 or Microsoft Dynamics 365 preferred
  • Strong knowledge of accounting concepts, practices, and procedures
  • Effective troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Strong mental and physical organizational skills
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills including Vlookup and pivot tables
  • Ability to rely on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish daily, weekly, monthly tasks
  • Ability to work independently as well as with a team
