Separation column for the determination of amino acids by means of UV/VIS detection following PCR with ninhydrin at 120 °C. The Metrosep Amino Acids 1 - 100/4.0 is the standard separation column for amino acids. The column is based on a sulfonated polystyrene-divinylbenzene material. The determination of amino acids is accomplished by means of photometric detection following a post-column reaction with ninhydrin.
The Metrosep Amino Acids 1 - 100/4.0 permits the separation of up to 44 amino acids in research and practice, including all naturally occurring amino acids.
