PFAS analysis with ion chromatography-based techniques
Jun 18, 2026
Event
Save the date: June 18 at 3 p.m.
Join this webinar to learn how your lab can make sure that your analyses capture all PFAS compounds.
Dr. Katinka Ruth and Theresa Steurer present two complementary techniques that provide a comprehensive picture of PFAS levels:
- Combustion Ion Chromatography (CIC) for a robust overview of total PFAS contamination levels
- Ion chromatography coupled with mass spectrometry (IC-MS/MS) to capture ultra-short chain PFAS like trifluoroacetic acid (TFA), a relevant degradation product that may account for a significant proportion of total PFAS in water samples
After the webinar, participants will know more about the regulatory background for PFAS analysis in water (DIN 38409‑59, ISO 18127, EPA 1621, DIN 38407‑53) and the use of CIC and IC-MS/MS for comprehensive PFAS analysis.
