Through eight demonstrations and workshops, you will have the opportunity to see firsthand the many different applications that are possible with your IC system. There will also be opportunities for you to ask questions and get tips and tricks from our experts to improve your IC experience.

  • MARS: Ambient aerosol monitoring with the Metrohm AeRosol Sampler
The Metrohm AeRosol Sampler "MARS" is a simple solution for aerosol monitoring. It is the small brother of the MARGA ("Monitor for AeRosols and Gases in ambient Air), which samples both aerosols and gases. In this demonstration you will get a chance to see the MARS working in action as it monitors the air quality here at Metrohm International Headquarters.
  • Coupled IC-MS systems
Combining IC with an electrospray ionization mass spectrometer (ESI-MS) or an inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometer (ICP-MS) solves even complex separation problems while achieving outstanding sensitivities and selectivity. Enjoy a tour of our new demonstration laboratory for hyphenated systems, including IC-MS, IC-MS/MS, and IC-ICP/MS. After a brief introduction, you will have a chance to explore the instruments and ask questions.
  • Combustion IC for monitoring of PFAS
Total PFAS analysis by CIC can provide an accurate picture of the overall contamination level before more expensive and time-consuming analytical techniques are deployed for targeted analysis of specific PFAS. In this demonstration participants will learn more about PFAS screening methods using combustion ion chromatography systems from Metrohm.
  • How low can we go? Flexible anion and cation analysis from nano- to milligrams/liter
This workplace will present a flexible trace analysis system that can measure anions and cations from ng to mg/L concentrations in many different types of sample matrices. Participants will get to see the excellent separation properties of the new Metrosep A Supp 19 column for anions, the Metrohm solutions for inline sample enrichment and matrix elimination, and the 941 Eluent Generation Module.
  • Saving time with IC software solutions: making the most of MagIC Net
In this session, our MagIC Net experts will offer some “tips and tricks” to improve your IC workflow and will be available to answer any questions you have.
  • Prevention and troubleshooting: how to enjoy a carefree life with your IC
What can you do to improve results, what measures can be taken to reduce the IC system downtime and extend the instrument's service life? During this workshop you will learn how to avoid instrument downtime and keep your instrument running well.
  • IC User Experience
The user experience (UX) workshop on software for ion chromatography analysis will be guided by our UX designers. Our goal is to gain a better understanding of participants' experiences in the laboratory and identify areas for improvement to make our software more user-friendly in the future.
