Sales & Product Manager – Metrohm General Lab Equipment

Requirements
  • Candidates must possess minimum a Master Degree in science, or PhD, in the field of chemistry or related fields
  • Fundamental understanding and training in the field of analytical laboratory techniques with emphasis on potentiometric and Karl Fischer titration, ion chromatography, voltammetry, spectroscopy and 'hands-on' experience
  • Experience with method and applications or products development related to analytical chemistry within an industrial/commercial laboratory 
  • Experience of installing analytical instruments at customer sites, would be beneficial
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Proficient computer skills
  • Experience in product management and/or marketing or business development, would be beneficial
  • Fluent Romanian and English (spoken and written)
  • Clean driving license type B
  • Availability to travel min. 50% within Romania and abroad
  • A reliable, self-driven and motivated person, hardworking, responsible, with good interpersonal, organization, negotiation and presentation skills, a strong team player, willing to learn and flexible, experienced in sales and/or applications
Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities:
  • Proficiency in the area of analytical laboratory equipment and especially in the areas of the Company's product portfolio, namely Ion Chromatography, Karl Fischer, Titration, Voltammetry
  • Draws quotations and provides specialized assistance and support to company's customers
  • Visiting clients and ensure the quality of services provided
  • Develop a network of clients
  • Negotiating contracts into competence limits decided by the management
  • Attending to trade-fairs, workshops where the Company participate
  • Monitor the presence and activity of competitors and propose measures to improve the company's image
  • Prepare and submit reports on his activity to the company's management 
  • Generation of Metrohm-format analytical reports recording experimental analysis
  • Provide pre/post sales applications support such as product presentations, demonstration, system configuration; applications optimization; troubleshooting
  • Liaise directly with field based sales, service and technical personnel
  • Install Metrohm instrumentation at customer sites and provide associated training; entailing prolonged 
  • Travel and potential overnight stays away from home. (Such duties will only be performed upon completion of relevant training)
  • Supporting customer demonstrations via the preparation and timely transportation of instrumentation
  • Adherence to the health and safety regulations enforced by the Company
  • Other miscellaneous duties as assigned
