Practical user training – Detection Techniques in Ion Chromatography
7/4/2017 - 7/6/2017 (Herisau, Switzerland)

You are invited!

Automated ion chromatography system set up in a laboratory with sample changer

July 4th to 6th, 2017 in Herisau, Switzerland

We are pleased to invite you to a practical course focusing on detection techniques in ion chromatography (IC). The course will keep the theory part to a minimum giving you plenty of time to learn how to use different detection techniques (conductivity, amperometric, and UV/VIS detection) during hands-on training in the laboratory.

Topics

Detail of ion chromatography system with conductivity detector visible
At the end of this three-day course you will be able to answer the following questions and master the corresponding techniques:
  • How do you choose the most suitable detection technique depending on the task?
  • Which performance can you expect from an IC conductivity detector?
  • What is the difference between suppressed and non-suppressed conductivity measurement?
  • For which applications is amperometric detection the most suitable technique?
  • Which modes and which electrodes used in amperometric detection will help you to meet your analytical challenge?
  • Which detection techniques can be combined?
  • For which applications is a post-column reaction recommended?
  • What is the advantage of coupling an IC to a mass detector?
