Butadiene is an important monomer used for the production of polymers like synthetic rubbers, latexes, and various plastics. During the production process, the monomer has to be as pure as possible. The presence of water may disturb the polymer production process and should therefore be avoided. This Application Note describes an easy way to determine the water content in butadiene by using the 875 KF Gas Analyzer.
