Application report: Metrohm – tailored analysis for the biofuels industry

Main document

Biofuels from renewable sources are a source of great interest. In addition to a neutral CO2 balance, biogenic fuels are also generally characterized by very good microbiological degradability, which is why they are suitable for use in ecologically sensitive areas. Given that alternative fuels are generally produced locally, the dependence on imported raw materials is reduced. Biofuels are subject to international standards. These define minimum requirements in the form of limit values for foreign substances and describe corresponding testing procedures.
