Customer application: Monitoring Cape Town's drinking water quality with Metrohm instruments

Main document

On July 28, 2010 the General Assembly of the United Nations declared access to clean drinking water and
sanitary facilities to be a basic human right. This underlines the great importance of water quality and
hygiene standards, the compliance with which must be monitored by national and regional health authorities. In Cape Town, drinking water quality is monitored using ProcessLab analysis systems from Metrohm. Cape Town's outstanding drinking water quality is important not only for the local population but also for the tourist industry: it was decisive for the hosting of the Soccer World Championship in 2010.
