Application report: Monitoring of pickling baths in the steel industry

Main document

During the pickling of steel, contaminations caused by previous production steps or rust are removed and the surface is prepared for subsequent process steps. This takes place in pickling baths that are comprised of diluted acids and that are often offset with auxiliary agents that optimize and accelerate the process. All relevant bath parameters can be determined fully automatically and directly at the process with a ProcessLab analysis system.
