Electrochemical impedance spectroscopy of three coated aluminum samples

Main document

In this Application Note, it is shown how the combination of the Autolab PGSTAT204 with the 1 L corrosion cell and the NOVA software facilitates electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS) on coated aluminum samples. EIS provides valuable conclusions concerning the coating quality and thus the corrosion resistance. The electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS) is a fast, non-destructive and powerful technique, widely used in corrosion science.
