Extended setup for real-time determinations of mass transport parameters during oxygen-reduction reactions (ORR)

Oxygen-reduction reaction (ORR) is one of the most commonly studied reactions in electrocatalysis, in no small part due to its importance for the commercial development of fuel cells. Depending on conditions, ORR proceeds via various reaction mechanisms, not all of which are suitable for industrial applications. In this Application Note, ORR is determined using a Rotating Ring Disc Electrode (RRDE) for the purpose of determining reaction mechanisms with the aid of the Levich and Koutecky-Levich equations.
