Product Specialist - Process Analytics

We are looking for an Inside Product Specialist, Process Analysis (PA-PS) at our corporate headquarters in Riverview, FL.

The Process Analytics Product Specialist (PA-PS) assists the Process Analytics Product Manager with the full life cycle of process analyzers. Beginning with the preparation of sales quotations, proposals and marketing materials and continuing through the assembly, testing and commissioning phase, the PA-PS will serve as a technical interface between Metrohm USA and the customer. Providing project direction and monitoring production timelines, the PA-PS works closely with the process analytics team to ensure seamless delivery to customers.

Essential Functions:

Technical Product Support

  • Technical consultation with customers, sales representatives and Service Depot peers to clarify analysis requirements
  • Translate the customer’s performance specification into an analyzer system specification
  • Prepare robust analyzer configurations for customers utilizing multiplying effects of sold analyzers and installed base.
  • Ensure the mechanical, chemical and engineering attributes of the proposed solution align with the customer’s expectation
  • Prepare sales presentations and proposals for analyzers
  • Leverage information of installed base for BOM production and customer needs
  • Serve as the first level of technical level expert for PA products at Metrohm USA

Project Planning and Facilitation

  • Project plan development
  • Creating drawings (Visio or ACAD) of the Process Analyzer
  • Confirming the bill of materials for the analyzer
  • Preparing Specification Sheets together with Product Management
  • Order entry confirmation
  • Develop project timelines for assembly, testing and documentation
  • Manage the integration of third-party products and services for the analyzer

After Sales Process Analyzers

  • Assist assembly team during the assembly and testing process
  • Validating and proofreading documentation
  • Attend and conduct factory acceptance tests
  • Document, archive and update analyzer information

Travel expected to be in range of 10-20%, mostly domestic with rare international travel required.

Other miscellaneous duties as assigned.

Education/Experience/Additional Qualifications:

EDUCATION: Minimum BS degree in chemical engineering, process management, chemistry, biochemistry, physics, pharmaceutical sciences or related field

  • High level of technology fluency to understand and properly communicate the application and technology associated with Process Analytics.
  • Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • High energy level with ability to take initiative.
  • Proven reasoning abilities and sound judgment.
  • Process oriented with demonstrated attention to details. Delivering on time results supporting product team initiatives is essential.
  • Teamwork oriented with collaborative style.
