Standards for water analysis

As a source of food and energy, during use in irrigation, as a solvent, cleaning or cooling agent and as a means of transport and a recipient, water is contaminated with fertilizers, pesticides, medications, hormones, heavy metal compounds, body care and synthesis products. As a result of the health hazards associated with this, the World Health Organization (WHO) has issued conductances for approx. 200 waterborne substances. This overview identifies selected standards from the area of water analysis.
