Quantification of different surfactants in shampoo by visible near-infrared-spectroscopy

This Application Note shows that visible near-infrared spectroscopy (Vis-NIRS) can be used for the quantification of different active substances (sodium laureth sulfate (SLES), cocamidopropyl betaine (CABP), cocamidopropylamine oxide (CAW), cocamide diethanolamine (DEA), Carbopol, Polyquaternium-7) in shampoo. Vis-NIRS is a good alternative to conventional lab methods for saving both cost and time.
