Application report: VA Computrace 797 – voltammetric trace determination of uranium (VI) in drinking and mineral waters

The presence of uranium in drinking and mineral water is the result of both natural effects and human activities. In addition to its radioactivity, this heavy metal is extremely toxic and can cause damage to kidneys, lungs, and bone marrow; it is furthermore toxic for reproduction. Voltammetry can be used for simple and inexpensive determination of hexavalent uranium (U(VI)) in solution down to the ppt range.
