Application report: Monitoring a phosphating plant with ProcessLab

With an estimated global turnover of more than 500 million EUR per year, phosphating may well be the most important process in the pretreatment of metals. It protects the metal against corrosion, improves the adhesion of paint layers, and is suitable as a pretreatment for subsequent processes such as shaping, punching, or drawing. Phosphating takes place in a phosphoric acid treatment bath. With the modular ProcessLab atline analyzer, all relevant bath parameters can be monitored directly at the process.
