Tallow amine ethoxylates are a type of non-ionic surfactant with different lengths of amino ethoxylate groups. They have good water solubility and are mainly used in herbicides to enhance the penetration of the active ingredients. Tallow amine ethoxylates are toxic to aquatic life, and therefore their use is restricted. This Application Note explains an approach to determine these non-ionic surfactants potentiometrically.
