757 VA Computrace

Voltammetry - easier than ever

757 VA Computrace was the first PC-controlled voltammetry system by Metrohm. The instrument is connected to the PC via the VA Computrace Interface to a USB port of the PC. The 757 VA Computrace software 2.0 supports Microsoft WindowsTM 2000 or WindowsTM XP Professional and contains all the necessary operating elements. The clearly arranged user interface comprises a Windows-oriented menu and a task bar that can be clicked for control of the instrument, method development and the recording and evaluation of the voltammograms.

Thanks to the sophisticated program design, only a few parameters must be entered to create a method. For further simplification the instrument is preprogrammed with all the methods that are described in the Metrohm Application Bulletins and Metrohm Application Notes.

In order to make your work even easier we have made our application know-how available on-line. On our website you can call up a wide range of application information. Apart from the list of our Application Bulletins you will also find more than 100 VA Application Notes, which contain many interesting practical examples from our application laboratories. Sample preparation to remove organic interferences from samples can be performed comfortably with the 705 UV Digester.

Login with user access rights

Rights of access can be defined to keep operation as simple as possible and avoid operator errors. The administrator can block individual program parts for each operator. The time-proven Multi-Mode Electrode (MME) can be used as the sensor or, for special applications; rotating disk electrodes can be brought into play.

Applications

Trace analysis…
can be carried out using calibration curves or standard addition down to the ppt level. Evaluation is automatic, can be controlled on the PC and the results processed there. Different options for baseline approximation are available: linear, polynomial, and exponential. Linear as well as non-linear calibration techniques can be chosen. On the 757 VA Computrace it is also possible to carry out automatic addition of auxiliary solutions like buffers or standards with the help of 765 Dosimats. For full automation the 813 Compact Autosampler can be attached.

… and method creation as well as training:
A wide range of voltammetric techniques can be compared directly with one another in the unique exploratory mode. The effects of altered parameters on the voltammogram can be observed directly. This program part has been designed specially for training in electrochemistry and also helps in developing the optimum method for solving an analytical problem. A Metrohm Monograph comprising a collection of 13 basic experiments for training in voltammetry is available to provide assistance in setting up training courses.

Curves and results are clearly shown beside each other in a program window. The results are printed out in preconfigured protocols, which can be exported to standard text and spreadsheet programs such as Word and Excel.
