Modular cation system with electronic suppression and
sample preconcentration
The modular "MIC-4 Advanced" anion or cation
system with electronic suppression and preconcentration
has, when compared with a simple anion-cation system
consisting of an 818
IC Pump, 819
IC Detector and 820
IC Separation Center, been extended by two further
components: the 838
Advanced IC Sample Processor (2.838.0010)
and a preconcentration column which is located on the
injection valve instead of the
sample loop.
The built-in peristaltic pump of the 838 Advanced IC
Sample Processor transfers your standard
and then your samples to the
preconcentration column. The enriched sample is then
eluted onto the separating column in counterflow.
The favorably-priced system works with electronic suppression.
This is characterized by the fact that the peak area
or height is directly proportional to the concentration
of the particular ion throughout a wide range. This is
why it is normally only necessary to carry out a one-point
calibration, which makes work quicker and easier. |
