Samples which either already contain gas bubbles or those
which release gas cannot be injected directly. Gas bubbles in the system affect
the baseline, cause pressure variations and result in poor reproducibility.
This means that manual degassing must be included as a sample preparation step.
This step can be automated with the 837 IC Sample Degasser
(Version 0020).
Before the sample reaches the injection valve it passes through
a special Teflon-AF® capillary contained in a vacuum chamber.
The vacuum achieves the removal of even microscopically small gas bubbles, excess
carbon dioxide or nitrogen. Time-consuming manual degassing of the sample is
no longer necessary.
The 837 IC Sample Degasser (Version 0020) is equipped with
a large-volume vacuum chamber and, for example, allows the direct determination
of drinks containing carbon dioxide without any manual sample preparation.
The electronically controlled vacuum pump means that the
837 IC Sample Degasser runs extremely quietly.
