The 746 VA Trace Analyzer and the 747 VA Stand with
the 695
VA Autosampler is Metrohm's most versatile automated
trace analysis for voltammetry. It streamlines the processing
of large sample series and can store up to 80 samples
in environmental analysis, quality control and process
monitoring. Up to 27 auxiliary solutions (electrolytes,
standards, etc.) can be managed by the instrument. The
high precision pipetting system allows metering of sample,
buffers and standards ranging in volume from 10 µL
up to 10 mL. All samples, auxiliary and standard solutions
are added to the measuring vessel fully automatically
by the 695 VA Autosampler. It is the only fully automatic
x, y, z system with liquid level detection by a sensor,
which guarantees that contamination and carryover errors
are minimal even in the ultra trace concentration range.
Emptying and rinsing of the measuring vessel is carried
out using two 700
Dosinos completely controlled by the 746 VA Trace
Analyzer. Rinsing cycles are adjustable to minimize
memory effects. With the 695 VA Autosampler it is possible
to analyze samples with different methods in one run.
Also sample preparation steps such as dilution and mixing
can be performed easily in routine operation.
The integral monitor of the 746 VA Trace Analyzer with
the splash-proof keyboard is ideal for laboratory use.
The backlit LCD screen shows methods and sequences,
calibration curves, voltammograms and results. The printout
is performed either on the integrated thermal printer
or on an external printer. The instrument is characterized
by its high degree of flexibility. Specific method adaptations
down to the smallest detail facilitate optimization
and adaptation of the analysis to meet the requirements.
Together with the VA
Database 2.2 PC software connected to a serial port
of the instrument you can utilize the almost unlimited
storage capacity of your PC.
The 747 VA Stand combines mechanical stability with signal processing
directly at the measurement station, with corresponding beneficial
effect on the signal-to-noise ratio. As an alternative to the
time-tested MME, a rotating disk electrode (RDE) with tips made
of "Ultra Trace" graphite, glassy carbon, platinum,
silver or gold is available as an option.
Sample preparation to remove organic interferences from
samples can be performed comfortably with the 705
UV Digester .
