The peristaltic 772 Pump Unit is used
wherever diaphragm pumps reach the limit of their range
of applications: liquids and solvents containing solid
particles.
In titrations, liquids are always having to be pumped.
Particularly in automated processes the removal
of titrated samples is extremely comfortable.
Not only is the sample beaker rinsed out and is then
immediately ready for the next determination, but the
waste liquids are also easily disposed of into waiting
canisters. For liquids containing solid particles such
as silver chloride precipitates a diaphragm pump can
no longer be used. This is where the application range
of the 772 Pump Unit starts. The peristaltic pump reliably
delivers liquids containing solid particles up to 0.4
L/min.
Organic solvents represent
a special case of liquids, where the resistance of the
pump components limit the range of applications. In
the 772 Pump Unit a selection can be made from an enormously
wide range of very different tubing materials. The operator
can adapt the resistance of the tubing to the media
being pumped in an optimal manner.
The 772 Pump Unit is controlled by the
731
Relay Box, which provides it with electricity and
switches it as required. This allows the pump to be
used with almost all Metrohm instruments which possess
a remote interface. This means that it is possible to
control the pump with Titrandos,
Titrinos,
Titroprocessors, sample processors and sample changers
or Liquinos.
