The Professional IC system with conductivity detection enables ultratrace analysis of cations or anions (non-suppressed) in the lowest ppt range (ng/L) in complex matrices. The "ProfIC 9" with Metrohm Inline Sample Preconcentration, Inline Calibration and Inline Matrix Elimination enables chromatography without limitation by the matrix and guarantees a long lifetime for the analytic separation column. Metrohm Inline Calibration makes it possible to have reliable calibrations of concentrations in the lowest ppt range (ng/L) – with a single standard solution of high concentration – in the ppb range (µg/L).
The sample is transferred to the preconcentration column fully automatically and precisely with the 800 Dosino. The anions or cations are held back. The matrix can be removed in one rinsing step. It is only now that the matrix-free sample is passed along into the IC system.
The 850 Professional IC – Prep 2 is equipped with an additional valve for Liquid Handling. The peristaltic pump takes over the transfer of the standard solution. The control and monitoring of the system takes place through the intelligent MagIC Net™ software.
Calibration and calculation of the results, depending on the preconcentration volume, also take place through the MagIC Net™ software. Despite the complexity of the procedures, the operation of the system is as simple as child's play.
The 858 Professional Sample Processor makes the samples available. Numerous sample racks are available for volumes in the range of 0.5 - 500 mL. Typical preconcentration volumes are between 0.5 - 100 mL.
