Applications for water, waste water and environment

Drinking water is the foodstuff par excellence. Metrohm offers instruments for the following applications:

  • Nine typical titrimetric analyses: pH value and acid capacity (carbonate hardness), calcium and magnesium (Ca hardness, Mg hardness and total hardness), chloride, sulfate, sulfides and hydrogen sulfide, total and residual chlorine (free chlorine), permanganate index (oxidizability), CO2 content of carbonated water, oxygen content according to Winkler. These applications are described in detail in our Food PAC.
    Instruments: Metrohm Titrators
  • Ion chromatography (IC): Bromate, bromide, chloride, fluoride, nitrate, nitrite, phosphate, ammonium, potassium, sodium, strontium, etc.
    Instruments: Metrohm Ion Chromatographs
  • Voltamperometry/polarography (VA): Aluminum, arsenic, lead, cadmium, chromium, iron, copper, manganese, mercury, zinc, etc.
Instruments: Metrohm Polarographs / voltammetric instruments
  • Electrical conductivity
    Instruments: Metrohm Conductometer
  • pH alue
Instruments: Metrohm pH meter and pH/Ion meters
